The band was founded in 2015 by members Julien Arnaud (Accordion), Damaq (Guitar). gente extraña have been making hit songs ever since their start in KL.
Their music has been compared to Mac Demarco or Boy pablo. gente extraña is signed to Banana Stand Media based in Portland, Oregon.
